Why

Fishing is the thread that runs through most of my life, and Duke had no organized community for it. UNC and NC State both field teams, which made a Duke club an easy case to make and a natural source of competition and collaboration.

What I do

  • Co-founded the club and serve as founding treasurer, running the budget and the sponsorship pipeline
  • 56 members joined in the first semester, with tournaments and excursions on the calendar
  • My cofounder landed the club’s Z-MAN sponsorship. I am personally negotiating a Gemlux sponsorship and organizing an alumni career panel
  • Coordinating with UNC and NC State teams on shared events
